Archie™
The iOS companion for Arch. Browse and continue your AI
Xcode coding sessions from your iPhone, nearby or through your private
iCloud database.
How it works
- Encrypted pairing — when you choose Search Nearby, Archie explains why Local Network access is needed, then finds Arch on your Wi-Fi. One nearby pairing installs a separate random mailbox key. Away from home, messages use end-to-end encrypted records in your private iCloud database without a VPN, IP address, router setup, or developer-operated relay.
- Same providers, same privacy — continue Ollama, Claude, OpenAI / Codex, and Apple Intelligence conversations configured on your Mac. Provider keys remain in Arch's macOS Keychain.
- Full conversation access — browse your conversation history, start new ones, and pick your model from the familiar selector.
- Agent job controls — check queued and running work, see retry and Git-checkpoint status, and pause, resume, or cancel an Arch job from your phone.
- Reconnects without reconfiguration — Archie chooses the nearby or private-iCloud route automatically, reconnects after foregrounding, and lists the models actually available on the paired Mac.
What it requires
Companion sessions require Arch running on a paired Mac. Tap Search Nearby
to begin the first pairing; reconnecting is automatic afterward. Away-from-home access uses the same owner's private iCloud
database and may deliver updates in batches. iOS 26 or later.
What it will never do
No analytics, no ad SDKs, no tracking. Archie does not ask for provider
API keys. Conversations and project work remain owned by your paired Mac.
